PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum), a subsidiary of the state-owned mining holding company MIND ID, has appointed Ilhamsyah Mahendra as the new CEO, replacing Danny Praditya, who is under investigation for alleged corruption in a gas trading case at PT PGN.

The decision was made in a recent annual general meeting of shareholders (RUPST), which also named Ivan Emirsyam as the new Director of Operations, replacing Raynaldi Harahap. The updated management structure of PT Inalum is as follows:

Ilhamsyah Mahendra, a relatively young leader born in 1988, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Trisakti University in 2010. He then pursued a Master’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2011 to 2012.

Ilhamsyah’s career began with an internship in 2009 at PT Bukaka Teknik Utama, where he worked as Planning Production Inventory Control in the Boarding Bridge Business Unit.

After completing his master’s degree, he held various positions in supply chain management across several industries. He worked at PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara, Danone, Unilever, Pos Logistics Indonesia, and PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut.

Before joining Inalum, Ilhamsyah served as Director of Business and Operation and later as President Director at PT Semen Indonesia Logistik (SILOG) from 2019 to October 2022.

He then moved to MIND ID, where he held senior roles including Head of Commercial Strategy and Head of Program and Project Management until February 2024. His most recent position before becoming Inalum’s CEO was as President Director of PT Sinergi Mitra Lestari.

Ilhamsyah’s extensive experience in various sectors and his strategic roles in supply chain and logistics management make him a promising leader for Inalum as the company navigates its future endeavors.
