A senior executive with Gerindra Party has revealed that a recent meeting between Prabowo Subianto, the party’s chairman, and senior architect Ridwan Kamil discussed the development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), focusing on the capital city’s urban planning aspects.
“Through these discussions, Pak Prabowo gained valuable insights for the future development of IKN,” Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Executive Chairman of Gerindra Party, said on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Regarding the appointment of the Head of the IKN Authority to replace Bambang Susantono, who had tendered his resignation, Dasco said that Gerindra is still observing the ongoing dynamics in the field. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has appointed Basuki Hadimuljono, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, as the acting head of the IKN Authority for the time being.
Ridwan Kamil, former Governor of West Java, recently shared a video of his meeting with Prabowo on Instagram. In the caption, he mentioned that Prabowo advised him on the importance of maintaining a strong and healthy nation through regular exercise and nutritious diets. Demonstrating the close relation between the two.
Currently, Ridwan Kamil serves as a curator for the IKN development, a role assigned to him by President Joko Widodo.
