President Prabowo Subianto met with visiting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. "Today, President Erdogan and I held the first high-level strategic council meeting. This is the highest bilateral mechanism of relations between the two countries," Prabowo said after the bilateral meeting. The Indonesian president praised the meeting as a very intensive and productive one. "We have the same commitment to strengthening the partnership," Prabowo cited. After the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Indonesia and Turkiye. The MoU signing was carried out by relevant ministers and witnessed by the two heads of state. The collaboration covers an array of issues, including education, religion, industry, and medicine. The following is a list of 12 cooperation agreements resulting from the bilateral meeting between Prabowo and Erdogan: 1. Memorandum of understanding between theIndonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Head of Turkish Religious Affairs Division on cooperation in the field of religious services and religious education. 2. Memorandum of understanding between the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in the field of energy and mineral resources. 3. Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of higher education between the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and the Turkish Council of Higher Education. 4. Agreement between the Indonesian Government and the Turkish Government on cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences. 5. Memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation in the field of defense industry between the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and the Defense Industry Secretariat of Turkish Presidency. 6. Memorandum of understanding between the Indonesian Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Ministry of Trade on increasing cooperation in the field of trade. 7. Memorandum of understanding between the Indonesian Government and the Turkish Government in the field of agriculture. 8. Letter of statement of intent between the Indonesian Government and Turkish Government on investment promotion and facilitation. 9. Memorandum of understanding between theIndonesian Ministry of Industry and the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology on the establishment of a joint committee for industrial cooperation. 10. Protocol of cooperation between the Turkish Radio Television Corporation (TRT) and the Indonesian Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP TVRI) in the field of television broadcasting. 11. Memorandum of understanding between the Turkish Radio Television Corporation (TRT) and the Indonesian Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP RRI) in the field of radio broadcasting. 12.
