President of Peru Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra arrived at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Banten, on Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2025 ahead of her official meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

The two leaders are scheduled to meet today, Monday, August 11, 2025 discussing a range of strategic issues, with a key focus on finalizing the Indonesia–Peru Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IP-CEPA).

Indonesian Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, confirmed that negotiations have been completed by Monday today and the agreement is ready to be signed in person by both heads of state.

During the first half of 2024, total trade between Indonesia and Peru reached US$196 million (Rp3.2 trillion), comprising US$153.8 million in exports and US$42.2 million in imports. Indonesia recorded a significant trade surplus of US$111.6 million in the same period.

In 2023, bilateral trade totaled US$444.3 million, with Indonesia’s exports to Peru valued at US$367.4 million and imports from Peru at US$77 million, resulting in a surplus of US$290.4 million for Indonesia.

This meeting follows President Prabowo’s visit to Lima in November 2024 for the APEC Summit, where he was received by President Boluarte. The talks in Jakarta are expected to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations.
