Deputy Minister of Defense, M. Herindra, presided over the inauguration ceremony of 1,145 personnel of the 2024 National Reserve Component (Komcad) held at the 1st Infantry Division Headquarters of the Army’s Strategic Reserves Command (Kostrad) in Cilodong, Depok, West Java, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

The 1,145 personnel, designated to serve as Army Reserve Component, had undergone a two-month education and training program before inauguration.

Reading a written speech by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Herindra said that the existence of Komcad was a reflection of the component members’ sincerity, enthusiasm, and love for the Republic of Indonesia.

“This is where you all build a stronger and more advanced Indonesia,” Prabowo said in his written speech.

Prabowo expressed hope that all personnel of the National Reserve Component, who have gone through the training program and been inaugurated, to always maintain their commitment to continue to improve their abilities and professionalism according to their respective job functions.

“Always be ready to defend the country and be willing to make the best contribution in maintaining the security and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.

The inauguration ceremony peaked with exhibition of martial arts skills by the Komcad personnel and closed with personnel parade.
