PT Asianet Media Teknologi (Asianet) has launched Unifiber, a Fiber To The Home (FTTH) product based on fiber optic technology designed to meet digital connectivity needs, and the Network Operation Center (NOC) facility to meet the challenges of advanced digital access needs.
Asianet supports the government’s vision through the Digital Indonesia 2045 initiative, where the government is committed to building infrastructure that supports gigabit internet, strengthening digital literacy, and developing superior human resources. Asianet believes that cross-sector collaboration between government, industry and society is an essential element, to ensure the development of an inclusive digital ecosystem that strengthens global competitiveness.
With the increasing need for fast internet in Indonesia to support daily activities such as working from home, streaming, and accessing cloud services, ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are facing some significant challenges. Based on the Association of Indonesian Internet Providers (APJII) ’s survey in 2023, the three main obstacles for ISPs in Indonesia are limited infrastructure that covers only about 70 percent of the territory with major challenges in remote areas, limited funding, and lack of qualified human resources. This hampers ISPs in meeting the increasing demand for fast and stable internet connections, especially in the midst of Indonesia’s rapid digitization efforts.
Asianet operates an extensive broadband network, stretching over 30,000 kilometers, with more than 1.5 million homepasses in 36 major cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Sleman, Surabaya, Denpasar and Medan. Unifiber ‘s FTTH network offers affordable and scalable connectivity solutions, especially in areas with low population density, which are often marginalized in digital infrastructure development.

Asianet currently operates a Network Operations Center (NOC) that enables real-time network monitoring. With the technology, the NOC not only monitors network performance but also ensures rapid detection of potential problems, reducing recovery time and preventing prolonged disruptions.
