The National Conference (Munas) of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jakarta on Thursday, January 16, 2025 formally appointed Anindya Novian Bakrie as chairman for the 2024-2029 period, marking the unification of two opposing camps within the businesspeople organization.
“The appointment of Anindya Novian Bakrie as Chairman of Kadin Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term has been ratified,” Kadin Deputy Chairman for Law and Human Rights Affairs, Azis Syamsudin, said in the plenary session of the national conference.
In addition, Arsjad Rasjid was appointed as Chairman of the Kadin Consultation Council, while Rosan P. Roeslani will serve as Chairman of the Honorary Council. Meanwhile. Hashim Djojohadikusumo was entrusted as Chairman of the Advisory Council, and Chairul Tanjung as Chairman of the Kadin Business Council.
End of internal rift
Chairman of the Kadin Honorary Council, Rosan P. Roeslani, called this National Conference a historic momentum to unite Kadin after months of internal dispute on the organization’s leadership. The two camps, namely the Anindya Bakrie and Arsjad Rasjid camps, finally agreed to unite in one forum.
“We are holding a National Conference on Unity Consolidation. With this, God willing, all Kadin will reconcile as one,” Rosan spoke to the media.
According to Rosan, the unification of Kadin will strengthen the organization’s synergy with the government. This is important to support the implementation of Asta Cita, President Prabowo Subianto’s priority program.
Rosan is optimistic that with the solid organization, every work program of Kadin can run more effectively. Synergy between Kadin and the government is considered important to accelerate various national economic and investment programs.
“With this unity, Kadin programs can run more optimally and in line with the President’s Asta Cita. All of this is aimed at accelerating national economic development,” he said.
The inauguration was attended by both Anindya Bakrie and Arsjad Rasjid as a symbol of peace and a shared commitment to advance Kadin Indonesia. This measure is expected to have a positive impact on the business world and support Indonesia’s economic growth in the next five years.
