The Ministry of Communication and Digital Application collaborates with the General Elections Commission (KPU), the National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN), and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in a task force set up on Friday, November 22, 2024 to ensure security of voters’ data and  smooth regional heads election.

“The goal is more on securing digital space, cyberspace. In the last meeting, the KPU also ensured that it would always coordinate with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Application to ensure that the public gets the same information in the last two days,”  Prabunindya Revta, Director General of Information and Public Communication (IKP) at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Application, said on Monday, November 25, 2024.

In addition to ensuring voters’ data, the ministry will also encourage public literacy to vote during the regional heads election.

“We encourage the public, citizens to come to the polling stations (TPS) and choose the best Regional Head for their respective regions,” Angga Raka Prabowo, Deputy Minister of  Communication and Digital Application, said.

The ministry will ensure that connectivity in all regions can be evenly distributed through cellular operators and the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI). This is needed by KPU officers to upload data in real time.

“We have received the data, we will work in the last few days to ensure that connectivity can be fulfilled at every point that might be called a blank spot,” Prabu said.
