Pertamina launches integrated digitalized licensing

State-owned energy company PT Pertamina on Thursday, August 29, 2024, launched integrated digitalized licensing that is targeted to facilitate the decision-making process, strengthen existing businesses, and provide the opportunity to build new businesses.

“In business process, there must be licensing, compliance to the environment and compliance to security aspect. With a solid system, there will be no gaps in licensing process from mapping, standardization of data collecting and alertness in the events of there are expired permits,” Pertamina Deputy President Director, Wiko Migantoro, said.

He emphasized that integrated digitalization licensing can show the latest data on the issued permits within the Pertamina Group of companies.

“This integrated system will make it easier for the management to make decision by presenting analytical data related to the feasibility status of installation operation, basic licensing status, as well as other data, ” he said, while citing that the integrated licensing system is applied internally and will be monitored routinely.

Director of Oil and Gas Program Development at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Mirza Mahendra, appreciated the innovative steps made by Pertamina to support the government’s strategic plans.

“With the support of related institutions, Pertamina has realized the completeness of these basic licenses, especially in the downstream sector and continued in the upstream sector,” Mirza said.

He expressed hope that Pertamina will continue to collaborate to develop licensing ecosystem and sustainable communication as well as coordination forum to support service and supply for national energy resilience for Indonesian people.

The launch of Pertamina’s integrated digitalized licensing was attended by Head of Environmental and Forestry Instrument Standardization Agency of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) Ary Sudijanto and Director of Oil and Gas Program Development of the ESDM ministry Mirza Mahendra.
