Law enforcement authorities have arrested Indra Charismiadji, spokesperson for the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) National Team and a legislative candidate from the NasDem Party.

Ari Yusuf, Head of AMIN’s National Legal Team, has confirmed the arrest, saying that the case is being handled by the East Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office.

“Yes, that’s correct. The East Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office arrested him today,” Ari said, but declined to provide detailed information about the case involving Indra, speculating that it might be related to a suspected tax evasion case in Indra’s previous business.

Information circulating around the media circle reveals that Indra was reported to the police over an alleged fraud and embezzlement case. The police had been handling the case since 2020 and have repeatedly summoned Indra for questioning as a suspect. But, he frequently failed to show up.

Nurindra Charismiadji, also known as Indra Charismiadji, is also known as a legislative candidate for the House of Representatives (DPR) from NasDem Party in the 2024 general elections. He is representing the Central Java 1 electoral district.
