Indonesia told to accelerate solar, wind energy development to meet target
The new and renewable energy (EBT) target set in the 2024-2060 National Electricity General Plan (RUKN) of 75.6 gigawatts (GW) by 2035 requires acceleration of solar and wind energy through strategic planning and close monitoring. By doing so, prospective projects with a total capacity of 45 gigawatts (GW), as recorded by the Global Energy Monitor (GEM), can be realised and ensure Indonesia reaches its clean energy development target on time.
Acceleration of CCS/CCUS implementation supports NZE Target 2060
The government continues to strengthen its commitment to reducing carbon emissions through the implementation of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies in the upstream oil and gas sector.

Pertamina NRE asks government to strengthen regulation, incentives for CCS technology
PT Pertamina New & Renewable Energi (Pertamina NRE), a subsidiary of State energy company PT Pertamina, seeks regulations that will strengthen and encourage the oil and gas industry by accelerating the implementation of carbon capture and storage/carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCS/CCUS) technology in Indonesia.
RI needs 210 GW of renewable energy to phase out fossil power plants
President Prabowo Subianto's vision of achieving the net zero emission target by 2050 should be accompanied with more ambitious plan of actions than mere building 75 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy-driven power plants, an energy analyst says.

British Petroleum (BP) has agreed to put an investment of US$7 billion in support of the Tangguh Ubadari, Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS), and Compression (UCC) projects in Indonesia upon an assessment meeting between the British oil&gas company and the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas).
Civil society groups: Climate funding useless if it is not on target
Global civil society organizations have suggested that despite increase in funding, the effectiveness of the climate financing should be more important than mere quantity, citing that the Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) funding has so far not gone to the right projects.
