Waskita to complete seven projects in IKN by June 2024

State-owned construction company PT Waskita Karya has set its sights on completing seven projects in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) by the first semester of 2024.

Waskita Senior Vice President for Corporate Secretary, Ermy Puspa Yunita, said that as of May 2, 2024, the company has concluded two projects within the IKN, namely the Sepaku Ring Road Segment 4 project and the MUT [Multi Utility Tunnel] project, which is constructed beneath the surface of the ground and city streets.

Furthermore, among the five projects with the highest progress and targeted completion in the first semester of 2024 are the IKN Toll Road Segment 5A, reaching 84.45 percent, the Presidential Secretariat office, and supporting buildings reaching 80.99 percent. Additionally, the progress of the IKN Feeder Road is reported at 72.85 percent, Third Coordinating Ministry building at 64.14 percent, and Fourth Coordinating Ministry at 62.49 percent.

Overall, Waskita reports that it is currently undertaking a total of 12 projects within the IKN with a contract value amounting to Rp13.6 trillion (US$846.25 million). Out of these projects, Waskita’s share of the contract value is reported to be Rp7.5 trillion.

Moreover, the ongoing projects being carried out by Waskita in the IKN include the Third Civil Servants Apartment with a progress of 33.40 percent, IPAL 123 reaching 27.09 percent, National Road IKN Section 6C-1 reaching 16.40 percent, VVIP Airport Access Road IKN reaching 11.77 percent, and Toll Road Segment 3B-2 reaching 5.70 percent.
