PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has joined forces with Huawei Indonesia to provide cloud technology and data center services. This collaboration is part of Telkom’s strategy to enhance its capabilities in the IT services business.

MoU was signed by Budi Setyawan Wijaya, Telkom’s Director of Strategic Portfolio, and Steven Wang, CEO of the Carrier Network Business Group at Huawei Indonesia. The signing ceremony took place at Telkom Landmark Tower in Jakarta.

Telkom aims to work together with Huawei to offer digital cloud services, particularly targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM), entrepreneurs, and government agencies, according to Budi’s statement on December 19, 2023.

Under this partnership, Telkom and Huawei will explore cutting-edge technologies in digital services, data centers, and cloud computing. The goal is to strengthen capabilities and boost corporate revenue. The collaboration is expected to generate new revenue streams, especially for Telkom’s segments such as UMKM, the government, and conglomerates.

“We will continue to enhance the development of digital infrastructure to build the world’s leading smart cloud network,” Guo Hailong stated.
