Legrand Indonesia host the Data Center Summit 2023 and launch its latest electrical switchboard product

Legrand Indonesia, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructure, hosted Legrand Day 2023, a two-day event on 7th and 8th June 2023, comprising of three remarkable events, including the Data Center Summit 2023, Gathering and Awarding Night, and the launch of Legrand XL3DO Electrical Switchboard.

The event succeeded in gathering more than 650 participants and players from the different industries such as digital infrastructure, retail and construction.

“We express sincere gratitude to all participants, partners, and attendees who made Legrand Day 2023 a resounding success. We are thrilled to host this event that brings together industry leaders, partners, and stakeholders in digital infrastructure,” said Mr. Achraf Hegazy, Country Manager of Legrand Indonesia.

The event was opened by a speech from Mr. Achraf Hegazy as Country Manager for Legrand Indonesia, Mrs. Karine Alquier-Caro as Legrand Group Vice President for South-East Asia, and Mr. Bizardy Ilham as Legrand Data Centre Solution Manager Indonesia. Also present was the French Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Fabien Penone.

During the Data Center Summit 2023, the panelist discussed some thought-provoking issues such as market trends and opportunities related to data centers and its growth forecast in Indonesia. The speakers themselves consist of various global players in the data center industry, such as Legrand Indonesia, Uptime Institute, BDx Indonesia, Indonesia Data Center Provider Organization (IDPRO), ST Telemedia Global Data Centers, Neutra DC, Megaroyal IT Comindo, and Frost & Sullivan.

The BCA and BRI Data Center Teams also participated in discussions and shared their experiences regarding the development of data centers that must be adapted to the needs of today’s business people.

The summit especially underlined the importance of sustainable data centers in Indonesia. “​​With the shift to a more digital way of how we live, play and work, more consumers and businesses are adopting and adapting to more digital and new technologies that’s driving a higher need for digital infrastructure. Global data creation is growing exponentially, hence, reliable, efficient and sustainable data centers are a critical enabler for our digital economy.” added Pieter Loesi from ST Telemedia Global Data Centres. 

Not only discussing the important role of the data center, the event also aims to unite and encourage collaboration between industry leaders, partners and other players. “I hope this event can be a platform for us to contribute to the sustainable growth of data centers in Indonesia. Together, we are ready to shape this industry,” stated Achraf Hegazy.

The Chairman of Indonesia Data Center Provider Organization (IDPRO), Hendra Suryakusuma also added “I see there is a lot of potential that can be discussed after this event. We hope that Legrand Indonesia can make even more contributions to the data center industry in Indonesia in terms of sustainability and increased energy efficiency.”

During these two-day events, Legrand also hosted an exclusive gathering and awarding night to distributors and retailers as a form of Legrand’s appreciation for their contribution.

Finally, the series of events ended with the launch of the XL3DO Electrical Switchboard. The product represents a new achievement in electrical switchboard technology in Indonesia. Its cutting-edge functionality, scalability and adaptability suit the evolving needs of residential, commercial, industrial, including the data center sector.
