Head of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN), Bambang Susantono, reported that the total investment inflow into IKN has reached nearly IDR 50 trillion.
He said total investment from the five groundbreaking stages implemented in IKN amounted to IDR 49.6 trillion. “Around 32 institutions have conducted groundbreaking for projects up to the fifth stage in IKN,” Bambang told journalists at the site for the future Presidential Palace on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Bambang emphasized the need for accelerating investment realization on the ground, as directed by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, to establish the IKN’s ecosystem. He highlighted the development of infrastructure by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, alongside other ministries, aiming to create public facilities and a livable city.
President Jokowi instructed relevant ministries/agencies to promptly clarify the land status in IKN for both government and private investment projects. This directive was conveyed by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, after attending a limited meeting with President Jokowi regarding the Acceleration of Land Provision for investment in IKN, at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
