Legal umbrella for BPI Danantara to be completed soon

The establishment of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) has entered the final stage with the draft Government Regulations (PP) and Presidential Regulations (Perpres)of the State-owned Enterprise (SOE) Superholding was submitted by Head of BPI Danantara Muliaman Hadad and Deputy Head Kaharuddin Djenod to Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi on Friday, November 29, 2024. 

“The PP and Perpres that were submitted are final after careful analysis. At the same time, the organizational structure and work procedures (SOTK) of BPI Danantara are also being finalized so that they can immediately be approved by the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucracy Reform,” BPI Danantaraspokesman Anton Pripambudi said.

In a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakartaon Monday, November 25, 2024, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of transparency, good governance, and professionalism in Danantara’s management. 

The meeting was attended by a number of high-ranking officials, including Investment Minister Rosan P. Roeslani, who reported that friendly countries such as the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates are ready to provide assistance to support Danantara’s operations. 

“Hopefully, Danantara can become a new force to drive economic growth and achieve a growth target of up to 8percent,” Rosan said. 

In addition to attracting investment from overseas, BPI Danantara is expected to be able to utilize domestic strengths to support development financing.
