Indonesia is recognized as a significant market for building materials, with the industry showing strong growth potential, says Kohler Indonesia GM.
In 2023, Indonesian building material products were projected to generate transactions amounting to US$15.33 million (Rp80.88 billion) at an international exhibition.
“Indonesia is a major market for building materials,” Shreya Malik, General Manager of Kohler Indonesia, said during the IBT 2024 exhibition on August 8, 2024.
She highlighted that design trends favoring colorful concepts for family needs continue to be popular, and this is expected to persist into the future.
The preference for bathroom interiors with colors other than metallic or chrome is on the rise, prompting Kohler to expand its production of kitchen and bathroom products in more varied colors.
“Now, the trend has shifted from chrome to other colors like gold, black, or blue,” Shreya said.
She cited that the company’s revenue grew by approximately 3-4 times from the previous period.
With Kohler’s participation in Indonesia’s largest interior and exterior building exhibition, the IBT 2024, the company invites visitors to appreciate the beauty of designer creations in various products, which are not only functional but also artistic and exclusive.
“Kohler is proud to be part of IndoBuildTech 2024 and believes that this exhibition is an important platform to connect with customers and other stakeholders who expect the latest designs and innovations,” Shreya said.
Shreya said further that Kohler is presenting design collaborations through “Project 6,” featuring works from six renowned Indonesian designers and a local design magazine.
