PLN EPI to strengthen LNG infrastructure, facilitate energy transition

PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) is embarking on collaborative ventures to enhance Indonesia’s LNG infrastructure and facilitate the transition to cleaner energy sources.

Iwan Agung Firstantara, CEO of PLN EPI, emphasized the pivotal role of LNG infrastructure in ensuring energy security and stability, stating, “Gas-fired power plants are essential for complementing renewable energy sources and maintaining grid stability, especially during the transition phase.”

Iwan highlighted PLN EPI’s commitment to environmental sustainability, stating, “Through accelerated renewable energy development (ARED) strategies, we aim to reduce carbon emissions and promote a sustainable energy future for Indonesia.”

PLN EPI’s initiatives align with the government’s broader objectives of transitioning to cleaner energy sources and reducing carbon emissions, laying the foundation for a greener and more sustainable future for Indonesia.

Moreover, PLN EPI is actively exploring partnerships and collaborations to strengthen LNG infrastructure and facilitate the adoption of cleaner energy technologies.

Iwan emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in driving innovation and investment in the energy sector.

“Collaborative ventures are essential for overcoming the challenges associated with energy transition and achieving our sustainability goals,” he said.

In addition to enhancing LNG infrastructure, PLN EPI is investing in research and development initiatives to advance renewable energy technologies and optimize energy efficiency.

Iwan underscored the company’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

“We are leveraging cutting-edge technologies and strategic partnerships to drive the transition to a more sustainable energy future,” he said.

Furthermore, PLN EPI is actively engaging with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations, to ensure a coordinated and inclusive approach to energy transition.
