The Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD election-winning team claims that they have substantial evidence to conduct an investigation into alleged frauds throughout the 2024 presidential election.
“We have received reports of structured, systematic, and massive frauds throughout the 2024 presidential election. The legal division of the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD election-winning team is investigating those reports,” Chairman of the Ganjar-Mahfud election-winning team Arsyad Rasyid said in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 as reported by TV One.
Arsyad said the investigation launched is not just a matter of winning or losing the election for Ganjar-Mahfud pair, but the need to uphold fair and honest election.
He asked all supporters of the Ganjar-Mahfud pair to remain calm, while awaiting results of the ongloing investigation by the team’s legal division.
“I would like to thank friends and witnesses throughout Indonesia who have provided the information and inputs [on the alleged frauds],” Arsyad said.
A total of 18 national political parties have contested the 2024 general elections. They are the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Gerindra Party, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), the Golkar Party, the NasDem Party, the Labor Party, the Gelora Indonesia Party, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN), the Hanura Party, the Garuda Party, the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Democratic Party, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), the Perindo Party, the United Development Party (PPP), and the Ummat Party.
In addition, there are six local political parties as participants, namely the Nanggroe Aceh Party, the Generasi Atjeh Beusaboh Tha’at and Taqwa Party, the Darul Aceh Party, the Aceh Party, the Aceh Fair Prosperity Party, and the Aceh People’s Independent Solidity Party.
Meanwhile, the presidential election was contested by three pairs: Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar as pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as pair number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD as pair number 3.
According to General Elections Commission (KPU) Regulation No. 3/2022, the national vote recapitulation for the 2024 elections is scheduled to take place from 15 February to 20 March 2024.
