President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with American business magnate and former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, the United States.
The meeting was shared by Bloomberg through his official Instagram account @mikebloomberg on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Bloomberg praised Prabowo’s commitment to improving the welfare of Indonesians through the development of renewable energy and the protection of marine resources.
“President of Indonesia Prabowo is committed to expanding economic opportunities for his people, including through clean energy investment and the protection of marine resources that support so many livelihoods,” Bloomberg wrote on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
He also expressed his pleasure at the opportunity to speak directly with Prabowo, particularly regarding ongoing collaboration between Bloomberg L.P. and Bloomberg Philanthropies.
“I was glad to speak with him today about how @bloomberg and @bloombergdotorg can continue to be partners in the work ahead,” Bloomberg added.
According to Forbes, Michael Bloomberg ranks as the 16th richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$109.4 billion (Rp1,825 trillion).
