President Prabowo Subianto arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 4:50 PM local time.
The President is in New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, said Foreign Ministry in a statement on Saturday.
President Prabowo is scheduled to deliver a speech on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He will be the third speaker in the UN General Debate, following the Presidents of Brazil and the United States.
Indonesia’s participation this year is significant as it provides an opportunity to reaffirm Indonesia’s role as a leader of developing countries (Global South). The country will also advocate for global governance reforms to make the international system more just and inclusive.
