Indonesia backs tropical forest financing facility initiative
Indonesia has reaffirmed its support for the Tropical Forest Financing Facility (TFFF), an initiative proposed by Brazil aimed at closing the funding gap for tropical forest conservation, ecosystem restoration, and the empowerment of indigenous and local communities.
Indonesia and UNDP collaborate on forest conservation, emission reduction efforts
The Indonesian Ministry of Forestry signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on August 12, 2025 to develop a concept and funding proposal for the second phase of Green Climate Fund's support for the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (GCF REDD+) Result-Based Payment (RBP) program.
