PT Suryacipta Swadaya (Suryacipta), a subsidiary of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA), has set up a partnership with SCP Consultants Pte Ltd (SCP) to promote investment opportunities in Indonesia, particularly in the Subang Smartpolitan region, to entrepreneurs and investors in China.
Singapore-based SCP specializes in the city and regional planning market worldwide. It offers a wide range of services, including strategic planning, operational planning, concept and master planning, development control, urban design, architectural design, tourism planning, landscape design, infrastructure design, computerized land use systems, training services and solutions.
The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Abednego Purnomo, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Suryacipta, and Jiang Shun Jie, China Innovation Center Director, in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, China, on January 10, 2024.
The agreement coincided with an investment forum organized by Suryacipta to provide information about investment in Indonesia, specifically in the Subang Smartpolitan region, an integrated self-contained city project owned by Suryacipta.
The event received a positive response from businesses and potential investors from China. Companies from various sectors, mostly from Suzhou, participated in the forum.
Jiang, in his remarks, appreciated the representatives from PT Suryacipta Swadaya who traveled from Indonesia to SCP.
“Through face-to-face communication, we truly feel the business atmosphere of Indonesia. We are glad that this event can help everyone gain inspiration, partners, and confidence,” he said.
Jiang expressed hope that SCP could deepen its cooperation with Suryacipta in the future. As a leading international company in urban and regional planning in Asia, SCP is committed to building more bridges for foreign companies to connect globally.
SCP has served more than 2,000 projects in over 200 cities in 14 countries globally. With the development of industrial areas worldwide, SCP provides comprehensive professional services, including strategic consulting, urban planning and design, and investment promotion to entrepreneurs and investors.
During the forum, Abednego provided an overview of the growing investment potential in Indonesia, supported by the government’s progressive and conducive policies for investors.
One example is the online and integrated investment registration through the OSS-RBA (Risk-Based Business Licensing) system. Additionally, the Indonesian government offers various investment incentives for investors locating their businesses in industrial zones, including Subang Smartpolitan.
These incentives include tax holidays, tax allowances, investment allowances, customs and import duties, regulated based on the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI).
These factors are expected to be utilized by Chinese entrepreneurs and investors to place their investments in Indonesia, especially in Subang Smartpolitan.
Abednego conveyed that the inquiries received by Suryacipta are currently dominated by Chinese entrepreneurs, especially from the automotive and electronics sectors. This is not surprising, considering that Subang Smartpolitan offers a complete ecosystem for business and commerce with a smart, green, and sustainable concept.
The region implements IoT-based infrastructure that supports business activities for tenants, particularly in the high-tech industry. Additionally, Subang Smartpolitan is surrounded by competitive labor and integrated with national strategic infrastructure such as Patimban Port, Kertajati International Airport, and the Trans Java Toll Road. Subang Smartpolitan will also have direct access to Patimban Port via a toll road with a travel distance of approximately 30 minutes.
