Currently, Indonesia has a lot of energy potential ranging from hydro, geothermal, and solar. Prabowo is optimistic about being able to develop nuclear energy in the future.

“We plan to design and produce our own nuclear reactor, so that we can also work with the Brazilian industry,” the Indonesian president told the business forum.

The plan was earlier stated by Hashim Djojohadikusumo, the President’s Special Envoy for Climate Change and Energy at the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
