Jordan − Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto arrived at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), Amman, Jordan, on Monday, June 10, 2024, to attend the high-level conference dubbed Call for Action: Emergency Humanitarian Response for Gaza.

Prabowo’s participation was based on an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah Hussein, and Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on May 30, 2024. Prabowo represents President Jokowi.

The conference is jointly hosted by Jordan, Egypt, and the United Nations on June 11, 2024 in Jordan.

The conference is organized in connection with the call for a ceasefire in Gaza, with the aim that heads of state could identify ways to strengthen the international community’s response to the ongoing humanitarian disaster.

With the presence of representatives from the Government of Indonesia in this conference, it is hoped that it can make a real contribution to joint efforts to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
