“We invite Dutch companies to invest in clean energy and inter-island electricity infrastructure in Indonesia,” Arifin said in a media statement on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

In addition to these two areas, there are also opportunities for cooperation in the field of biofuels.

During the bilateral meeting, Rob Jetten welcomed the opportunity for cooperation with Indonesia. He expressed his intention to involve Dutch companies, including those in the European Union, and consolidate financial support and investment for the development of inter-island electricity infrastructure and new and renewable energy.

Minister Arifin and Minister Rob Jetten signed an MOU between Indonesia and the Netherlands on Cooperation in the Field of Energy Transition to Combat Climate Change on the sidelines of the Energy Transitions Ministerial Meeting G20 (ETMM) in September 2022.
