Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo was called by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to be questioned concerning information gathered from various resources regarding allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Rumors are circulating that the Minister of Agriculture, Limpo, will be designated as a suspect for alleged violation related to the Accountability Letter (SPJ), accepting gratification, and bribery.

In addition to Limpo, it is also mentioned that the KPK will designate two other officials from the Ministry of Agriculture as suspects.

According to Ali Fikri, the spokesperson for Enforcement and Institutional Affairs at the KPK, the investigative team is currently in the process of collecting information from several parties.

“So far, what we know is that we are in the stage of requesting statements from several individuals regarding allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia,” said Ali Fikri on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Fikri stated that the information gathering process is a follow-up to reports received by the KPK from the public.

He expressed hope that the ongoing process at the KPK would provide certainty in law enforcement.

“Since we are still in the investigation process, we cannot disclose further details,” added Fikri.
