PT Pupuk Indonesia is poised to bolster Indonesia’s agricultural productivity with the distribution of 9.55 million tons of subsidized fertilizer, through an investment of IDR 54 trillion (US$3.4 billion).

Rahmad Pribadi, CEO of Pupuk Indonesia, affirmed the company’s commitment to supporting agricultural growth, stating, “Fertilizers play a crucial role in enhancing crop yields and ensuring food security for our nation.”

The allocation of funds reflects the government’s recognition of the pivotal role of subsidized fertilizers in sustaining agricultural productivity and fostering rural development. Pribadi highlighted the company’s readiness to undertake this monumental task, citing its extensive distribution network and robust production capabilities.

Pupuk Indonesia’s efforts align with the government’s broader objectives of promoting sustainable agriculture and empowering farmers. Pribadi expressed confidence in the company’s ability to meet the burgeoning demand for fertilizers and contribute to Indonesia’s agricultural self-sufficiency goals.

Furthermore, Pribadi emphasized the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, including initiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote responsible fertilizer use among farmers. He underscored the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable agricultural development and address challenges such as soil degradation and nutrient depletion.
