Prabowo speaks at Qatar Economic Forum, sharing Indonesia’s development story

Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo attended the Qatar Economic Forum held in the Emirate’s capital of Doha on Tuesday, speaking about the Indonesian development progress under the presidency of Joko Widodo.

Prabowo, who is also Indonesia’s President elect, told the forum that building a country is a long-term process and that the administration of President Joko Widodo has succeeded in setting the foundation to create a strong economy.

“As you know, nation building is a long-term process. And Indonesian President Joko Widodo has built a strong foundation for Indonesia’s development,” Prabowo said.

He cited that in the development of the country, food security and energy security are important aspects in the development of Indonesia.

Moreover, he added, the sustainability of industrialization and good processing of natural resources are also considered as important aspects for Indonesia’s development.
