Former deputy head of Indonesia National Police appointed as deputy main commissioner of PT Pindad

Commissioner General Agus Andrianto, Deputy Head of the Indonesian National Police (Wakapolri) was appointed Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir to become Deputy Main Commissioner of PT Pindad (Persero).

Regarding this appointment, Agus said the appointment was to replace the previous Police Commissioner General (Ret.) Gatot Eddy Pramono, the Deputy Chief of Police, who had retired.

“Replacing the full [retired] Mas Gatot,” said Agus, on August 29, 2023.

Agus emphasized that he would carry out the mandate properly. He also said he would continue to study in order to grow and develop the domestic defense and security industry.

“We will carry out this mandate as well as we can, we need to learn, and learn continuously so that we can at least provide color for the growth and development of the defense and domestic security industry,” he said.

As announced on Pindad’s official website, the appointment of Police Commissioner General Agus Andrianto as Deputy Main Commissioner of PT Pindad was carried out on August 28, 2023 online.

The inauguration was done by submitting a copy of the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises and the Main Director of the Limited Liability Company (Persero) PT Len Industri as the Shareholders of PT Pindad.

This appointment was also based on the Decree of the Minister of SOEs through the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises and the Main Director of the Limited Liability Company (Persero) PT Len Industri As Shareholders of PT Pindad number: SK-243/MBU/08/2023 and number: 009/KRUPS/ LEN-PINDAD/VIII/2023 dated 28 August 2023 concerning Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Board of Commissioners of PT Pindad.

In this decision, he honorably dismissed Komjen Pol (Purn) Gatot Eddy Pramono as Deputy Main Commissioner and appointed Komjen Pol Agus Andrianto as the new Deputy Main Commissioner of PT Pindad.
