PT Agung Sedayu Retail Indonesia (ASRI), a subsidiary of Agung Sedayu Group, has partnered with Xanh SM, a leading electric taxi service provider from Vietnam, to promote eco-friendly mobility solutions in Indonesia.

This collaboration is part of ASRI’s vision to build a greener, more sustainable ecosystem by 2025, aligning with its focus on environmentally responsible property development and business practices.

Xanh SM officially launched its electric taxi services in Indonesia on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, with ASRI as one of its key partners.

The partnership was formalized in a signing ceremony between ASRI’s COO Commercial, Veri Y. Setiady, and Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of Green and Smart Mobility JSC (GSM).

Through this collaboration, ASRI will facilitate the deployment of Xanh SM’s electric taxis across three of its prominent shopping centers: Ashta District 8, PIK Avenue, and Mall of Indonesia.

Designated pick-up and drop-off zones will be established at these locations to ensure customer convenience and accessibility.

“This partnership aligns with our vision of supporting Indonesia’s transition towards greener and more sustainable mobility solutions, benefiting both society and the environment,” Alexander Kusuma, CEO of ASRI, said as quoted in a statement on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Sustainable mobility, public awareness

ASRI also plans to enhance public awareness about the importance of eco-friendly mobility.

By collaborating with Xanh SM, the company aims to educate the public on the benefits of electric vehicles and encourage individuals and businesses to adopt greener transportation alternatives.

“Looking ahead, ASRI intends to integrate sustainability elements into all its development projects,” Kusuma said.
