The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) continued questioning former Supreme Court (MA) official Zarof Ricar, a suspect in the bribery and gratification case involving Ronald Tannur’s murder case and legal proceedings at the country’s highest Court system.

AGO spokesman, Harli Siregar, confirmed that the interrogation was a follow-up to Monday’s session, November 4, 2024 which had also involved the Supreme Court’s Supervisory Body.

The AGO, with support from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), is tracing Zarof’s assets in connection with his suspected role as a “case broker” at the Supreme Court.

The investigation began after authorities discovered Rp920 billion (US$58 million) at Zarof’s residence in Senayan, South Jakarta, late last month.

In addition to Zarof, the AGO also questioned Ronald Tannur, currently detained in Surabaya, East Java, regarding his murder case.

Meanwhile, three judges from the Surabaya District Court − Erintuah Damanik (Chief Judge), Mangapul, and Heru Hanindyo (Panel Judges) − were also summoned as suspects in the bribery scandal, which allegedly led to a not-guilty verdict for Tannur.

Harli clarified that there was no direct confrontation between Zarof and the three judges. They arrived at separate times for their questioning.
