Ten candidates for KPK Supervisory Board membership submitted to Jokowi

The Selection Committee (Pansel) for the Leadership and Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has submitted 10 names of candidates for the 2024-2029 Supervisory Board membership to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, Chairman of the Selection Committee, said that the final decision was based on the results of all stages of the selection process.

“This decision is final and cannot be contested,” Yusuf said on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

The candidate list was submitted to Jokowi in the Holding Room of the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in East Jakarta as the President was about to fly to East Nusa Tenggara for a working visit.

From these names, President Jokowi will choose five members of the Supervisory Board to serve for the next five years.

The following are brief profiles of the 10 candidates for the KPK Supervisory Board:

  1. Benny Jozua Mamoto – Retired police officer with the rank of Inspector General, currently serving as the Executive Chairman of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas).
  1. Chisca Mirawati – Founder of the law firm Chisca Mirawati, Kanya & Partners, specializing in banking and financial law.
  1. Elly Fariani – Member of the Audit Committee at State-owned fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Indonesia and former Inspector General at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.
  1. Gusrizal – Chief of the South Kalimantan High Court, formerly served at the Aceh High Court and the Bogor District Court.
  1. Hamdi Hassyarbaini – Former Director of Supervision at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, currently President Director of Sentra Bitwewe Indonesia.
  1. Heru Kreshna Reza – Principal Auditor at the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) and Independent Commissioner at PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo).
  1. Mirwazi – A senior police officer with the rank of Senior Commissioner, currently serving as Head of Enforcement and Intelligence at the Aceh Chapter of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).
  1. Iskandar Mz – Former investigator at the Directorate of Corruption at the National Police Headquarters, holding the rank of Senior Commissioner.
  1. Sumpeno – Former High Court Judge in Bali, who was also a candidate for the Supreme Court leadership in 2019.
  1. Wisnu Baroto – Former Chief of the South Sumatra Prosecutors’ Office, who also served as Special Advisor to the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes.
