The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has received a report from the Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) implicating Ganjar Pranowo, the presidential candidate number 3, and Supriyatno, former President Director of Bank Jateng, over alleged gratification.
The report suggests a cashback scheme involving insurance companies and Bank Jateng during the period of 2014-2023.
IPW Chairman Sugeng Teguh Santoso revealed that the modus operandi revolves around a suspected 16 percent cashback from insurance premiums, allegedly distributed among three entities.
“Five percent goes towards the operational aspects of Bank Jateng, both central and regional; 5.5 percent is allocated to the shareholders, comprising regional governments or heads. The remaining 5.5 percent is directed to the controlling shareholder, suspected to be the head of Central Java administration with the initials GP,” explained Sugeng.
The total gratification amount is estimated to be over IDR 100 billion, and IPW contends that the actions may have taken place between 2014 and 2023.
Sugeng emphasized that the evidence presented to the KPK indicates a potential involvement of Ganjar Pranowo, who served as the Governor of Central Java during the specified period.
The KPK confirmed receipt of the report and stated that it would conduct a thorough verification. Ali Fikri, the Head of KPK Media Relations, assured that the complaint from IPW would be diligently reviewed.
Ganjar Pranowo has yet to respond to the allegations. In the meantime, the spokesperson for TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Imam Priyono, welcomed the investigation, urging a fair and transparent process.
“Mas Ganjar has always prioritized transparency and anti-corruption in his leadership. We hope the investigation remains free from political motivations,” stated Imam.
