The National Asset Management Agency (LMAN) reported a disbursement of Rp18.2 trillion for land acquisition in national strategic projects (PSN) throughout 2023.
Basuki Purwadi, the CEO of LMAN, said that the realization of the budget for land acquisition in national strategic projects increased by 13.45 percent compared to the previous year.
“We realized Rp18.206 trillion, an increase of 13.45 percent because in 2022 our realization was at Rp16.407 trillion,” Basuki said during a Media Briefing at the LMAN Office on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
Basuki further explained that the majority of the budget for land acquisition was allocated to support the construction of toll road projects amounting to Rp14.30 trillion (US$ 886 million).
Meanwhile, the budget for land acquisition to support large-scale water resource infrastructure construction amounted to Rp2.02 trillion.
“The third sector, transportation, was less than Rp1 trillion, only around Rp300 [billion] because there weren’t many projects in that area,” he added. Throughout 2024, Basuki hopes that they can maintain the realization of PSN land acquisition costs at the same level as in 2023, amounting to Rp18 trillion.
This is done to accelerate the development of several national strategic projects, most of which are targeted to be completed this year. “Because many PSNs should be completed in 2024, this certainly requires coordination and collaboration among various parties,” he concluded.
On the other side, for this year, LMAN received a budget allocation of Rp15 trillion from the 2024 State Budget (APBN) for the land acquisition of PSN. Director-General of State Assets at the Ministry of Finance, Rionald Silaban, said last August that the Rp15 trillion budget allocation will be used for three major agendas in 2024. First, according to Rionald, is to optimize state assets based on their utility. Second, to innovate related to asset optimization by having a unified platform. Third, land acquisition for all PSNs in Indonesia.
