The National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol Indonesia claims to have located several high-profile fugitives currently abroad, including oil trader Riza Chalid, former presidential staffer Jurist Tan, ex-Investree CEO Adrian Asharyanto Gunadi, and drug kingpin Fredy Pratama.
NCB Interpol Indonesia Secretary Untung Widyatmoko said the agency had updated the fugitives’ whereabouts as of Monday, September 22, 2025. “We’ll provide updates later,” Untung told reporters at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday.
He confirmed that Riza Chalid’s case has been submitted to Interpol headquarters in Lyon, France. Riza is a suspect in an alleged corruption scandal involving crude oil and refinery product management between State energy company Pertamina and KKKS (contractor) operators from 2018 to 2023, which is under investigation by the Attorney General’s Office.
“It’s already been filed in Lyon, and we’re waiting for it to be issued. We’ve been in direct contact with Interpol to process it,” Untung said, adding that the pursuit faces no major obstacles but requires time. “It’s only been two working days since the request was filed last Thursday and Friday.”
The same process applies to Jurist Tan, a former special staffer to ex-Education Minister Nadiem Makarim, who is implicated in an alleged corruption case linked to the education digitalization program (Chromebook procurement) from 2019 to 2022. “For Jurist Tan, it’s also being processed. God willing, we already know where he is,” Untung said.
He added that similar progress is being made in pursuing Adrian Asharyanto Gunadi, former CEO of PT Investree Radhika Jaya, and Fredy Pratama, a notorious narcotics trafficker. “For Adrian, just wait. It will be soon,” Untung noted.
