President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 summoned National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief M. Herindra to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, discussing strategic issues, including national and food securities.
Also present were National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Head Dadan Hindayana, State Logistics Agency (Bulog) President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
“The closed-door meeting discussed several strategic issues, including national security and food security. The president listened to reports from officials on these matters,” Cabinet secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said as quoted by Antara on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
Following the meeting, Dadan Hindayana announced that BGN would accelerate the verification of Nutrition Service Kitchen Units (SPPG) by the end of this month. The goal is to meet the target of operating 8,000 free nutritious meal SPPGs this month.
So far, 5,103 units are operational. According to Dadan, the acceleration process allows for the addition of up to 300 kitchens per day.
“We hope to reach the target of 8,000 operational SPPGs within this month,” he said.
