President Prabowo Subianto summoned several Cabinet ministers to the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 to discuss the development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and the drafting of the 2026 State Budget (APBN).
Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, said the president requested updates on the progress of national economic and industrial zones. The meeting marks Prabowo’s first internal cabinet session since returning from his overseas tour from July 1 to July 16, 2025.
“The agenda will include reports on zone development,” Airlangga told the media before the meeting.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, who was also present, said her attendance was part of ongoing discussions on the preparation of next year’s state budget.
“The draft 2026 state budget (RAPBN) is one of the topics to be discussed,” she said.
In addition to Airlangga and Sri Mulyani, several other high-ranking officials entered the palace but declined to comment on the cabinet meeting. Among those in attendance were:
- Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita;
- Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani;
- Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia;
- Minister of Trade Budi Santoso;
- Head of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti;
- President Director of State electricity company PT PLN Darmawan Prasodjo.
