Indonesian Navy to build strategic base in Sumenep

The Indonesian Navy has received a land asset grant from the Sumenep Regency Administration, East Java, for the construction of a naval base (Lanal) on Madura Island, considered an important element in strengthening the country's defense system in eastern Indonesia, particularly within the Second Indonesian Archipelago Sea Lane (ALKI II) area.
