Jordan King offers three strategic investment projects to Danantara
Indonesian Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, who also serves as CEO of State investment management agency BPI Danantara, Rosan P. Roeslani, reveals that King Abdullah II of Jordan has offered three strategic projects to Danantara as part of the efforts to strengthen bilateral investment ties.
“The King of Jordan directly conveyed potential projects or collaborations offered to us. For Danantara, there are three projects,” Rosan said after accompanying President Prabowo Subianto in a meeting with King Abdullah II at a hotel in Jakarta on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Rosan cited that the proposed cooperation covers gas pipelining, toll road development, and the logistics sector − all of which align with the investment portfolio of BPI Danantara.
“That includes three projects: gas pipelining, toll roads, and logistics,” he said.
Before presenting the proposals, King Abdullah II had asked for an overview of Danantara’s projected returns. According to Rosan, the projects offered fit well with the institution’s return profile.
“He asked us about Danantara’s return expectations, and it turns out these projects fit with Danantara’s target returns,” he said.
Rosan emphasized that the offer will be followed up with in-depth evaluation based on directives from President Prabowo. The assessment will form part of the government’s efforts to pursue productive and well-measured investment expansion.
“He made the offer, and we will follow up and evaluate it with direct approval from President Prabowo to study these projects proposed by the Kingdom of Jordan,” Rosan affirmed.
Danantara plans to deploy a dedicated team to examine the technical, financial, and implementation aspects of each project. The field assessments are expected to produce a comprehensive analysis that will guide Danantara’s strategic decisions to deepen cooperation with Jordan and strengthen its international investment presence.
“We will send a team to begin reviewing the details of these projects,” Rosan said.
