PT Vivo Energy Indonesia (Vivo) has reached an agreement to procure fuel feedstock through a business-to-business (B2B) scheme with Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN). Under the deal, Vivo committed to absorb 40,000 barrels out of the 100,000 barrels offered by Pertamina.

Pertamina said that both companies are committed to ensuring fuel availability, energy distribution, and reliable service for the public. “This policy is not just about fuel imports, but about how all parties work together to ensure energy is available and the community is well served,” Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV, said as quoted in a press statement on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Roberth cited that the fuel supply mechanism for Vivo follows existing regulations and compliance standards applied to state-owned enterprises. He added that the next step will involve quality and quantity testing of the fuel, using surveyors mutually agreed upon by both parties. Meanwhile, four other private fuel companies are still coordinating with their respective headquarters.

The procurement process follows Pertamina’s recent delivery of base fuel cargo that arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Pertamina emphasized that the delivery for private fuel stations was carried out ahead of the usual import timeline of seven to ten days since the agreement was made on Friday, September 19, 2025.

Base fuel is a form of refined petroleum with a pure octane level, not yet mixed with additives or colorants. Private fuel operators are responsible for blending the base fuel with their own additives and dyes to meet specifications and create differentiated products.
