The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has questioned six officials of State-owned energy giant PT Pertamina and its subsidiaries over an alleged corruption case involving the management of crude oil and refinery products between 2018 and 2023.

The questioning was conducted by investigators of the Office of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. It was part of ongoing efforts to garner substantial evidence in building the case, AGO spokesman Anang Supriatna said.

The witnesses examined ranged from assistant managers to vice presidents, including two former officials of Pertamina’s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) division.

They were identified by their initials as NS, who served as Strategy, Planning & Risk Management Manager at ISC from 2013 to 2017, and MS, former Vice President (VP) for Legal Counsel Downstream at ISC from 2014 to 2018.

From Pertamina’s subsidiaries, investigators summoned one witness each from PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN), as well as two from PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI).

The other four officials are IDP, Manager of Product Operation at PPN; MKS, VP for Financing, Tax & Treasury at PIS; MRM, former Manager of Budget & Performance at KPI (2020-2021) and later Manager of Market Risk & Original at KPI (2021-2024); and DDKW, former Assistant Manager of Crude Oil Domestic Supply at KPI (2020-2022).

“These six witnesses were examined in relation to the alleged corruption in the management of crude oil and refinery products at Pertamina, its sub-holdings, and oil contractors (KKKS) during the 2018-2023 period, linked to suspect HW and others,” Anang said.
