Oil&gas directorate general office searched over graft allegation
Investigators at the Office of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) conducted a search at the Office of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) over alleged corruption in the management of crude oil and refinery products at State oil company PT Pertamina, Sub-holding, and Oil and Gas Contractors (KKKS) for the 2018-2023 period.
The search was conducted on Monday, February 10, 2025, at three main locations, namely the Office room of the Director of Upstream Business Development, theOffice room of the Director of Downstream Business Development, and the Office room of the Secretary of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas.
During the search process, the investigators found a number of pieces of evidence kept in five boxes of documents, 15 mobile phones, one laptop, and four electronic files. All evidence was then confiscated based on the Director of Investigation's Confiscation Order at the Office of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes.
Attorney General's Office Spokesman, Harli Siregar, revealed that the evidence is now under the supervision of the Attorney General's Office for further investigation.
"These items are on their way, and we will take further steps to reveal the light of this case," Harli told a press confrenece on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Harli cited that the confiscation of this evidence was carried out to strengthen the investigation process. Furthermore, the Attorney General's Office will request approval for confiscation from the local District Court to ensure the completeness of applicable legal procedures.
Although many witnesses have been questioned, the AGO, however, has yet to name a suspect in this case.
