Jakarta Fair 2025 closes with Rp 7.3 trillion in transactions, 5.9 million visitors
The 2025 Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK), Southeast Asia’s largest and longest-running multi-product exhibition, officially concluded on Sunday, July 13, 2025at the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, recording a total of Rp7.3 trillion (US$442 million) in transactions and attracted 5.9 million visitors.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, JIEXPO Director Karuna Murdaya praised the Fair's success, highlighting its role in bolstering national economic recovery and business activity.
“This year’s Jakarta Fair proves to be more than just an exhibition it has become a vital engine driving the economy. We are proud to announce a total of 5.9 million visitors and Rp 7.3 trillion in transactions throughout the event,” Karuna said.
The 2025 edition of JFK hosted 2,550 tenants across 1,550 booths, with around 50 percent of them representing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). According to Karuna, the event also generated tens of thousands of employment opportunities.
In his remarks, JIEXPO Marketing Director Ralph Scheunemann noted that the event ran smoothly from opening to closing day. “Both visitors and exhibitors left with a sense of satisfaction. That’s our greatest indicator of success. Although this year’s fair ran seven days shorter than last year, public enthusiasm remained high from day one,” Ralph said.
Despite the shortened schedule, organizers reported strong attendance and robust economic activity, particularly during the early weeks. Ralph emphasized the significance of the fair’s economic impact across various sectors.
Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno, who attended the closing ceremony, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Jakarta provincial government. “For nearly a month, the Jakarta Fair has become a space to fulfill the spirit of the people. We thank the organizers and everyone involved,” he said.
Rano added that the turnout and spending figures reflected a resilient public economy. “With 5.9 million visitors and Rp 7.3 trillion in transactions, it’s clear that Jakarta residents remain economically active and optimistic,” he said.
Looking ahead, Rano hoped that the Jakarta Fair would continue to grow. With the capital city set to celebrate its 500th anniversary in 2027, he called for an even larger and more impactful event in the years to come.
“Insya Allah, in 2027 when Jakarta turns 500, the Jakarta Fair will be even bigger than before. On behalf of the Jakarta administration, we look forward to continuing this tradition,” he concluded.
