President Director of Adaro Energy Indonesia Garibaldi Thohir said Djarum Group, Sampoerna Strategic Group, and Adaro Group are ready to help Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka to win the 2024 presidential election.
Garibaldi Thohir, who is popularly known as Boy Thohir, conveyed the information while attending the Erick Thohir United States Alumni Volunteer event. which was also attended by Prabowo, on Monday evening, January 22, 2024. He claimed that the event was attended by one third of Indonesia's economic players, including one of the richest women in Indonesia.
"Although we are small in number, but yes in this room roughly a third of the Indonesian economy is here," Boy Thohir was quoted as saying by CNNIndonesia, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
"Starting from Djarum Group, Sampoerna Group, Adaro Group, who else, anyway, all the groups are here. There is Ninin (Arini Saraswati Subianto), the richest woman in Indonesia, and all of them, sir," he continued.
Boy Thohir then expressed his gratitude for Prabowo's arrival. On the occasion, he said he was ready to help Prabowo-Gibran win the election in one round.
"Thank you for your presence, this is extraordinary, it makes us excited for one round," said the national businessman.
On the same occasion, Prabowo said he was honored to have been invited, while citing that he was not invited to the event in the previous two presidential elections.
Prabowo joked that he lost the previous two presidential elections because he was never invited to such events. He expressed his optimism in the upcoming presidential election.
