Erick Thohir revamps Pelindo’s board of commissioners
Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), Erick Thohir, has restructured the Board of Commissioners at State-owned port operators PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo).
According to the official company statement, the changes in the board of commissioners were decided in the recent Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, or RUPS, of the SOE Ministry.
The shareholders meeting resulted in a decision by the SOE Minister, with the Decree No. SK-2/MBU/01/2024 dated January 3, 2024, regarding the Termination and Appointment of Members of the Board of Commissioners and the Appointment of an Independent Commissioner of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia.
The company appointed Retired Admiral Agus Suhartono as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of Pelindo. Agus Suhartono was Commander of the Indonesian Military (TNI) from September 28, 2010 until August 30, 2013. Prior to his posting at Pelindo, Admiral Agus held positions as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner at State-owned coal miner PT Bukit Asam (PTBA).
Besides Admiral Agus, the shareholders meeting also approved the appointment of Andus Winarno as new Commissioner at Pelindo.
"In this RUPS, Andus Winarno was appointed as a Commissioner of Pelindo," stated Arif Suhartono, CEO of Pelindo, on January 4, 2024.
Andus Winarno has been serving as Assistant Deputy for Human Resource Management at the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises since April 26, 2021, based on the Decree of Minister of State-owned Enterprises No. SK-115/MBU/04/2021 concerning the Termination and Appointment of High-Ranking Officials within the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.
In addition to Admiral Agus and Andus, the shareholders meeting also appointed Sudung Situmorang as an Independent Commissioner of Pelindo. Sudung previously served as a Commissioner at Pelindo II since 2021. Before that, he held the position of Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office.
In the shareholders’ meeting, the tenure of Muchtar Luthfi Mutty as an Independent Commissioner was also determined.
PT Pelindo is a non-listed State-owned company whose shares are 100 percent owned by the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises as the Shareholder representing the Republic of Indonesia.
