The youngest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep, has been officially appointed as the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). This decision was made during the PSI National Gathering.

Meanwhile, Giring Ganesha, the former chairman, has been appointed as a member of the PSI Advisory Board. Giring's appointment as a member of the PSI Advisory Board took place during the same event.

Vice Chairman of the PSI Advisory Board, Grace Natalie, expressed her gratitude to Giring for his dedication over the years.

"The Advisory Board's decision regarding the appointment of the PSI DPP Advisory Board. It has been resolved to appoint Bro Giring Ganesha as a member of the Advisory Board," Grace stated.

Inspired by his father

In his inaugural speech as party chairman, Kaesang acknowledged that he had been inspired by his father, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, who had entered politics with the primary goal of improving people's living conditions.

Through Kaesang, Jokowi has found a political platform that will be significant for his future political endeavors.
However, Kaesang has not disclosed the party's stance on supporting a particular presidential candidate, stating that he will take the time to understand grassroots aspirations before announcing PSI's position on this matter.
