Indonesia urged to enforce ambient air quality standards amid worsening pollution
The Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) has called on the government to implement National Ambient Air Quality Standards, citing alarming air pollution levels across the country, particularly in Greater Jakarta area, where PM2.5 concentrations last year ranged between 30–55 μg/m³ − six to eleven times higher than the WHO’s safe limit of 5 μg/m³.
