Bakrie & Brothers subsidiary, PT Vektr Teknologi Mobilitas (VKTR), has signed a Head of Agreement with state-owned heavy equipment manufacturers of PT Industri Kereta Api (PT INKA) and PT Barata Indonesia to produce electric vehicle components. INKA Finance, Human Resource and Risk Management Director Andy Budiman, VKTR CEO Gilarsi W . Setijono and Barata Marketing Director Sulistyo Handoko signed the agreement in Gresik, East Java, on September 15, 2022.

Vale Indonesia, China's Huayou develop nickel smelter in South Sulawesi
Nickel mining company PT Vale Indonesia Tbk has agreed to collaborate with China's Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co. Ltd. to develop a smelter with High Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) technology in Sorowako, South Sulawesi. The two companies’ cooperation has started early this year. Huayou conducted the feasibility study, which has resulted in a positive outcome.

Labor Party plans to protest until September 26, 2022
Labor Party Chairman Said Iqbal said that party elements of workers, fishermen, farmers, women, youth organizations and other informal workers will continue to protest the government on the latter's policy on fuel price hike.
