Renewable energy subholding of State energy giant Pertamina, Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE), emphasizes that cross-sector and cross-country collaboration is essential to build a resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem against challenges of regulatory uncertainty, technological risks, and limited financing.

“Clean energy is not just an option, but an inevitable future,” Pertamina NRE CEO, John Anis, said as quoted in a statement on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

To address these challenges, John cited that Pertamina NRE is developing a flexible and adaptive business model designed to increase investment certainty in the clean energy sector.

This model aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s energy industry while opening opportunities for global partnerships that can accelerate the growth of new and renewable energy sources.

Pertamina NRE is also expanding international collaboration through technology transfer, cross-border investments, and joint research initiatives to speed up decarbonization. These efforts reflect the company’s commitment to driving energy transformation toward a low-carbon future.

“We are ready to be part of the global solution in strengthening energy resilience and accelerating the transition toward a sustainable green economy,” John added.

He also stressed the importance of innovative business strategies and adaptive policies to fast-track the commercialization of clean energy, in collaboration with energy leaders both domestically and internationally.

“Building a green energy future requires joint action from the government, industry players, investors, and the public,” he said.
